The Texoma Dispute Resolution Center is an independent charitable organization that promotes and provides free or low-cost Mediation, Conflict Coaching, Conflict Resolution and Dispute Resolution services and training to residents, businesses, organizations, schools, agencies and the courts in Grayson and Cooke counties in North Texas and Bryan, Marshall, Johnston & Love counties in Southern Oklahoma*.

The Texoma Dispute Resolution Center was founded by Dave Hilton, M.A. – Mediator, Conflict Coach, host of the Conflict Specialists Show, and local radio personality – in 2011 to facilitate the peaceful management and resolution of conflicts in the Lake Texoma area, using alternative dispute resolution methods.

It was established under the provisions of the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution and Procedures Act, Section 154.052 of the Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code and O.S. §, Chapter 38A, Sections 1833 & 1840 of the Oklahoma Choice in Mediation Act.

The Texoma DRC accepts cases by court order from District, County or Municipal Courts; attorney recommendations; civic, non-profit or governmental agency or organization referrals; and/or from individuals who choose to Mediate their disputes or receive Conflict Coaching to learn how to effectively manage and resolve conflicts.

We look for volunteer Mediators who come from areas all around Lake Texoma and have a variety of professional and personal backgrounds.

The Texoma Dispute Resolution Center operates as an independent non-profit charitable organization.  Our revenue comes from donations, client fees, training fees, County ADR funds, grants, and other fund raising activities.

Client fees are never a barrier to services and are reduced or waived when appropriate. The fee structure used by the Texoma DRC makes Mediation, Conflict Coaching and Dispute Resolution services and training available to everyone at affordable rates. Please visit our Fees page for details.
